Safe Haven

This new love story was released on Valentines Day and so far has grossed over $30 Million in the box office. This is another movie based on a book from Nicholas Sparks, similar to The Notebook and Dear John. The two main stars of this movie are Julianne Hough (Katie) and Josh Duhamel (Alex). It is a suspenseful Story about a young and beautiful woman who is trying to love again. Katie (Julianna Hough) ends up in Southport, North Carolina because of her mysterious past. When in Southport she meets Alex (Josh Duhamel)  who is a recent widow. Throughout the movie they form a bond which is tested by Katie's past. Overall the movie was filled with suspense, romance, and a few twists. This is a great movie to go see if you are a college student; either with your best group of girls or even better for a college date. For the guys, yes it is a chick flick, but it has gorgeous women, funny on many different levels, and it has its action moments. If you haven't seen it, I would advice you to go. Check out the trailer...

  1. Since every girl loves a Nicholas Sparks movie like The Notebook I cannot agree more that it would be the perfect date movie. I really loved the movie when I saw it even though it was different from his previous movies even though the basic love story is there it was extremely complex love story. I agree it was a great movie

  3. I went and saw this movie the first week it was in theaters. I read the book and wanted to see if it was going to be the same or different. After reading the book and seeing the movie, I found that they were extremely similar and was happy with the way they filmed the movie. I would highly recommend this movie.
