The
movie we will be reviewing today is End of Watch starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña. This movie is a gritty
crime drama detailing the story of two up and coming LA police officers fatal
adventure on the streets of California. The plot takes place in south central
Los Angeles and tells the story of how these patrol officers stumble upon a
dangerous secret. This secret makes these everyday patrol officers the primary
targets of a infamously dangerous drug cartel. The movie itself was well shot
and gives a very realistic and more natural flow to the film. While it is an
action flick though the bond shared between these two officers from different
walks of life brings a softer side to the film. The movie while long is a great
film that keeps you truly guessing to the end. The only major flaw I found to
be was the performances by some of the antagonist really falling short with the
level of acting by both protagonists.
